Byrum & Fisk announces new Mid-Michigan hire
Byrum & Fisk Advocacy Communications is pleased to announce the addition of communications strategist Gabby Abel, a professional with an extensive background in government communications, politics and media relations.
Abel is a former communications manager for the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. Abel curated content, developed communications strategies and managed media relations for the Prosperity Office – which housed the Michigan Poverty Task Force, Office of Global Michigan and Gov. “Gabby is an excellent addition to our team and her range of media relations, policy experience and passion will be a true asset for our clients,” said Mark Fisk, partner at Byrum & Fisk.
Abel brings a broad range of experience in the labor and economic development industries as well as policy and government. She has a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Western Michigan University.
“I’m excited to join this team of skilled and talented communicators,” Abel said. “I look forward to working with Byrum & Fisk’s range of clients, using my background to help advocate on important issues and creating positive change across the state of Michigan and beyond.”
