Anders Joins Byrum & Fisk as Communications Strategist
Byrum & Fisk Advocacy Communications, a Michigan public relations firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Communications Strategist Melissa Anders, an award-winning storyteller well-versed in business, government and politics. 
“Melissa brings a strong background in journalism and a reputation as a dynamic communicator,” said Byrum & Fisk Partner Mark Fisk. “She’s a natural fit on our team and her experience is already proving to be a real asset to our clients.”
Prior to joining Byrum & Fisk, Anders served as the statewide business reporter for MLive and was named to the Washington Post’s list of Best State Capitol Reporters in America in 2014. She also earned accolades for her enterprise reporting at the Lansing State Journal and Traverse City Record-Eagle. She spent the last several years as a freelance journalist writing for Forbes.com, the Chicago Tribune, Detroiter Magazine, Library Journal and many other local and national publications.
“I’ve always been passionate about making a difference through communications, and I was drawn to Byrum & Fisk’s advocacy mission,” Anders said. “I’m excited to build on my years of journalism experience to help clients tell their stories.”
