Byrum & Fisk promotes Cepak, Behnan to Senior Communications Strategists
LANSING — Byrum & Fisk Advocacy Communications is pleased to announce the promotion of Stephanie Cepak and Christopher Behnan to Senior Communications Strategists.
Cepak is an award-winning journalist who covered the Michigan Legislature for years as a reporter for Gongwer News Service and was a regular correspondent for Off the Record. Prior to returning to Byrum & Fisk, Cepak was communications manager for Michigan State University, where she led strategic planning and execution of Honors College communications. At Byrum & Fisk, Cepak manages a wide spectrum of clients, from coalitions to trade organizations and non-profits in the clean energy, public health policy and insurance arenas, to assisting with communications for ballot initiatives.
Behnan is an award-winning journalist who joined Byrum & Fisk in 2016 after working as a print reporter, editor and photojournalist for 20 years, covering national, state and local politics, education and fine arts across Michigan and Illinois. Throughout his career, Behnan has developed a reputation for unearthing the human impact of decisions made in Lansing and Washington, D.C. He has served a wide range of clients during his time at Byrum & Fisk, including in public schools, education policy and Michigan’s growing cannabis industry.
