Angie Harrier
Angie Harrier is a communications strategist at Byrum & Fisk. She comes to the firm with more than 20 years of corporate communications and public relations experience serving as a national Company Spokesperson for State Farm from 2000 – 2022.
Angie has worked in every realm of communications – from issues and crisis response to brand-building, safety and education campaigns. She has experience in the development and execution of large-scale communications projects including auto insurance rates during the COVID-19 pandemic, high-profile litigation, announcements of crime-fighting canines and responses to major national catastrophes like Hurricanes Katrina and Ida.
Angie is adept at navigating complex issues and has considerable experience working with the C-suite. For the last 20 years, she’s refined and delivered media training courses to hundreds of people across the country. A Michigan native, she’s built an extensive network of reporter relationships on the local, regional and national scale, garnering story placements in The Wall Street Journal, Good Morning America, CNBC, Bloomberg, The Washington Post and People Magazine.
Angie and her husband will be returning home to Michigan from Phoenix in 2023. She spent 20 years in Kalamazoo after earning her Bachelor’s in Public Relations from Western Michigan University and grew up in Petoskey where most of her family still resides. In her free time, she prefers spending time outdoors, whether hiking with her dogs, spending the time on water or working in the garden.
